NextSet

Terms of Use & Health Disclaimer

NextSet builds workout plans around the equipment at the gym you train at. By signing in and using it, you agree to the following. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Section 8 is for gym owners.

1. This is not medical or professional advice

NextSet generates workout suggestions from rules of thumb. It is not a doctor, physiotherapist, or certified trainer, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to a qualified professional before starting any exercise program — especially if you have (or suspect) any injury, pain, or medical condition, are pregnant, or haven't trained in a long time.

2. You train at your own risk

Exercise carries real risk of injury. You alone are responsible for choosing weights you can control, using equipment properly, warming up, and stopping when something hurts.

The health flags feature adjusts exercise selection as a convenience; it is not a safety guarantee and does not make any exercise safe for you. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextSet and the people who run it accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app or from training decisions you make with it.

3. Suggestions are estimates

Weight targets, durations, and calorie figures are rough estimates generated by simple formulas. Treat them as starting points, not instructions.

4. Your data

We store: your email (to sign you in), your answers and workout activity (to build and track your plan), body stats you choose to log, and photos you choose to add.

Photos are private to your account — they are never shown to other users, and the app has no public feed. Share images you generate are created on your device; where you send them is up to you.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Login emails are sent via our email provider (Resend); data lives on our database and storage providers (Railway, Cloudflare).

5. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your Profile at any time. This permanently removes your profile, plans, workout history, body stats, and photos.

6. No guarantees of service

This is a free app run for the people at one gym. It may break, change, or shut down. We'll try to be decent about it, but you get no warranty of any kind.

7. Your gym

NextSet builds plans around the equipment at the gym you train at, but it is not operated by that gym. The gym's own rules, waivers, and staff instructions always take precedence on the floor.

Your gym can see that you are a member, when you joined, how often you train, and when you last trained. It cannot see your plan, the weights you log, your body measurements, or your photos. The one exception is a plan your gym built for you itself — they can open that, because they wrote it.

8. If you run a gym

Setting up a gym on NextSet means you confirm you're entitled to represent it and to upload photographs of its equipment. Those photos appear on your gym's public page, so don't upload anything you wouldn't put on a poster — and don't upload photographs of people.

You get a free trial. When it ends, nothing is deleted: your members carry on training on the plans they already have, your page stops accepting new sign-ups, and your console becomes read-only until the account is reactivated.

You are responsible for the plans you assign to clients yourself. NextSet's generated plans come from the same published rules for everyone; a plan you build by hand is your professional judgement, not ours.

Your members' training data belongs to them, not to you. Don't ask us for it, and don't use what you can see for anything other than running your gym.

9. Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will tell you the next time you sign in. Continuing to use it means you accept the updated terms.
